Message from Scottish Water (Business Stream) re Water charge exemption scheme
If youíre a charity registered with the Scottish Charity Regulator (OSCR) or a Community Amateur Sports Club (CASC) you can apply for exemption from your water, waste water and drainage charges.
The Scottish Government has announced details of a new scheme which will help charities registered with the Scottish Charity Regulator (OSCR) ) and Community Amateur Sports Clubs (CASCs) with the cost of their water and waste water bills.
Itís called the Scottish Government Water and Sewerage Charges Exemption Scheme. This scheme will replace the current scheme. It will be administered by Scottish Water on behalf of the Scottish Government.
Please note that the previous 2014 scheme is now closed.
As a result of these regulation alterations, Maxton 21 will have to register with the Scottish Charity Regulator (OSCR), by applying for Charitable Status.
An application is being discussed at present and the views of residents of Maxton Parish are sought regarding these changes.
