The grant from CBAVH having arrived, Douglas will chase up the contractors, Murray & Burrell regarding a starting date, and length of time needed to do the work, so that any amendments to existing bookings can be made as early as possible. High quality of workmanship essential.
A new section is to be added which details those of the Parish who served during World War 1. Based on the framed information in the Hall, it shows who was wounded, who was killed, where they died and are buried or recorded. Thanks for the research to Joe Eglinton, one of our HMS MAXTON sailors who did the work.
Nothing to report.
New edition of Ton Talk arrived.
Dave Wilkinson and Joe Eglinton and their wives are making their annual visit to the Borders on Saturday 6th September.
