Apologies: Priscilla, Felicity

We were all shocked and saddened by the untimely death of Ann. She involved herself in our community activities and gave willingly of her time and skills and we are grateful for all the work she did with us. She will be missed by us all, and Maxton 21 sends its condolences to Ron and the family.

Previous Minutes:
Accepted as a true record of the meeting held on Monday 6th May 2013.

Treasurer’s Report:
Isobel presented the summary of the financial movements for May, June and July (to date).
Currently the balance stands at £5663.22 including £381.40 in the charity account.
The monies raised, and sent through Just Giving to The Difference - Borders Health Board Endowment Funds for the Special Care Baby Unit, from the walk undertaken by Tom are not included in our figures as they have gone direct to the charity.
His total of £486.75 is an excellent result and we thank him for his efforts. He also raised £1500 for the British Heart Foundation at the same time. A brave man!

Web Site:
Nothing to report.

Neighbourhood Watch:
Nothing to report.

The annual visit by Dave and Joe with Heather and Liz took place on Saturday last. The Ton Class Association has decided to do away with the post of Affiliations Officer as there are so few left that support is not deemed necessary. As the years have gone by, fewer and fewer former crew members are left, and this situation can only continue.
Dave and Joe wish to continue the link with us and are happy to keep an eye on what we are doing and contribute any input they can.

Any Other Business:
None raised.

Date of Next Meeting:
Monday 16th September in Maxton Village Hall at 7.30pm.

At a meeting of the Hall Committee held on Wednesday 17th July, it was agreed, after discussion, that in the light of increased fuel charges, changes to the rates for the hire of the hall were essential. The following rates will now apply.
