Tom Veitch Goes Walkabout

Raising Funds for Maxton 21 Charity for 2013 “The Special Baby Unit “ at Borders General Hospital.

Starting on 26th May 2013 Tom Veitch will attempt to walk the Pennine Way, from Edale to Kirk Yetholm, plus a section of the St Cuthbert's Way, finishing here in Maxton hopefully on Sunday June 9th.

The walk is being attempted on behalf of Maxton 21's chosen charity for 2013, The Special Care Baby Unit at Borders General Hospital.

Donation to this deserving cause can be made on-line through Tom's Walk or by contacting Isobel Veitch, Eileen Smart or Charlie Denoon .

Sponsor sheets will also be available at the Maxton Coffee Morning to be held on Saturday 18th May in Maxton Village Hall from 10am.

Each Year Maxton 21 selects a local charity which will benefit from various events run in the Parish throughout the year.

In 2012 Maxton 21 raised £600 for The Margaret Kerr Unit at Borders General from Plant Sales, a Coffee Morning and the Carol Singing.
