Various suggestions for events have been put forward:

Contact local playgroup/nursery to see whether they would wish to have an outing to such an event. Venue for a Sunday school outing as last time?
Theme Night – to be discussed at next meeting.
Strawberry Tea in July.
Maxton Meets: a new series is to be planned. Meeting of Ann, Eileen, Douglas and Charlie to find speakers and work out a programme. Suggestions for possible topics and speakers should be sent to Charlie.
Maxton Meets will be held on the second Monday of September, October and November, January, February and March.
A meeting of the Hall Committee is to be arranged. Membership to be discussed.
New SBC recycling arrangements will need new arrangements for the collection of waste within the Hall and for the putting out of bins.
The documentation for the Annual Condition Report for CBAVH to be completed. John Brown of the Association would like to attend one of our meetings.
As the Hall does not have a TV Licence no receiving equipment can be used there (Note to Election Officials).
Isobel, on behalf of the Community Council, raised the possibilty of an external electric supply point being provided for the Hall so that an illuminated Christmas Tree could be made available over the festive period. After discussion, it was agreed that because the grounds of the Hall were almost totally under the Lime tree, there was no suitably effective place for a Christmas Tree. The Community Council will reconsider the matter.
Note that Google Earth Street View now has a Maxton road trip included.
A set of very useful booklets "Safer Communities, Safer Scotland" provided by the National Association will be placed in the Hall. They can be borrowed and returned at meetings or other events.
Nothing to report.
