Previous Minutes
The minutes of the previous meeting were accepted as being an accurate record.
Treasurer's Report
The balance in the accounts stands at 5449.95. Monies for recent hall hire have still to be added.
Past Events
Maxton Met Isobel Gordon
. Last of the current series and an excellent talk, well attended as have all the 2008-2009 series.
Thanks to all the speakers who made Maxton Meets a worthwhile project.
New series planned for 2009-2010. Suggestions for speakers welcome.

Saturday 23rd May Coffee Morning and Plant Sale.

Maxton Parish Homecoming Sunday 23rd August 2009
Date fixed with Minister.
10am till 4pm
Church Service 11.45am in Maxton Church
Coffee/Tea and biscuits all day, Soup and Crusty Bread 1pm 2.30pm.
Exhibits and Displays still being planned, and additional ideas welcome.
So Far:
Powerpoint of "Old" photos.
DVD of Maxton East End Farm from 1960's
Metal Detected Finds from Parish on Display, with Detectorist on hand to identify and explain.
Reference Documents for consultation. Census, Gravestone Records etc
HMS MAXTON input (to be finalised)
Notelets of Maxton Kirk on Sale
Elvira and Jimmy will make soup.
Invitation to ex HMS MAXTON crew sent to "Ton Talk".

Hall Report
Hall Committee meeting to be held on Tuesday 21st April in the Hall at 7pm.
Despite the hard work carried out on the Painting Day, there is still some to be finished.

Web Site
Time for the Sponsors to be approached re renewal for the coming year. This will be started after the Easter break.
Site traffic still over 33,000 per month.
Nature Calendar now updated with the various walks and events etc for the coming year.

Neighbourhood Watch
Apart from the incident when the 40mph signs and verge posts were vandalised, all has been quiet. Seems to have been an isolated incident carried out by people passing through. Police action was prompt. Repair carried out on the Monday morning.

Any Other Business
Apology from the Chairman for his failure to remember to suggest a Book Token for the Auditor. The auditor has already declined the offer.
