The last of the 2008-2009 season of Maxton Meets was an outstanding and thought provoking talk on "Pests, Pestilence and the Perception of History".
It gave a new perspective on history, making one realise that in so many cases the influence of the various unwanted baggage, which man took with him on his travels did more damage than the people themselves. Disease, carried by the participants, often killed more than the war itself.
Thanks go to Isabel for bringing historical events so close to us with such an enthralling illustrated talk.
