Maxton 21 - Village Carol Singing

Thanks to all 20 who turned out tonight, to be members of the Carol Singing Group for 2008.

We were fortunate to have amongst us Angus Blackburn - photographer from the Border Telegraph - watch out for the picture!!!

Thanks also to the households who provided sustenance - both solid and liquid - which kept the voices in tune, and the spirits up.

As a result of the generosity of the Maxton folk, the magnificent sum of £152.66 was raised for the Maxton 21 Charity for 2008 - The Princess Royal Carers' Trust Youth Project in Galashiels.

A cheque for the total sum raised in 2008 will be presented to them in the New Year.
