Judith & Nicola and the Edinburgh Moonwalk

THE MOONWALK EDINBURGH
On the 24th June 2006, my sister-in-law Nicola Bertram (from Newstead) and myself will be involved with the first Moonwalk to be held in Edinburgh. We, along with thousands of other people who want to do something for cancer will take to the streets at midnight with one goal in mind – to raise money, awareness and raise sponsorship for making a vital difference to breast cancer research and cancer care. Nicola and myself aim to walk a half marathon ( 13 miles each).

This event was held in London last year and raised in excess of £5 million in 2005 alone. This year the charity hope this new challenge will raise over £1 million for breast cancer research and cancer care projects in Scotland .

Sadly, most families will have been affected with a loved one or close friend being diagnosed with breast cancer at some stage in their lives.
