This newly published book, by Edwina Boult delves into the mystery surrounding the death of Major John Strother Ker of the Scots Greys.
One of the Kers of Littledean, whose family vault is in Maxton Kirk, he died in 1795 during the French Revolutionary Wars.
This is a tale of storms and shipwrecks, of bloodshed, curses and a ghost, which links Scotland and Germany deep in the past, and it lays to rest a mystery which has existed for over two hundred years.
Edwina has produced a very interesting, carefully researched story, which has been published by the Royal Scots Dragoon Guards.
