Maxton Burns Supper

Last evening a group of 34 parishioners, friends and family gathered in Maxton Village Hall for the annual Burns Supper. Guests of particular note were Paul's parents who had come all the way from London to take part in their first ever Burns Supper.
After Jacqui's Selkirk Grace, the evening got under way.

Thomson addressed the Haggis, Tom gave the "Immortal Memory", and Richard, a welcome visitor, gave the toast to "The Lassies" which was replied to by Priscilla.

With the more formal part over, singing, recitation and music filled the rest of the evening.

Thanks to all who took any part in the preparations, performed on the evening or helped in any way whatever. Without their participation, there would be no evening.
