POLICE ADVISE DRIVERS TO BE CAREFUL IN FOG
Drivers are being urged to drive more carefully in fog, to slow down, keep headlights on low beam and stay a safe distance from the car in front.
Scottish Borders Inspector, John Scott said: "I want to remind drivers to leave plenty of time for their journeys when it's foggy.
"If they can't see the road ahead, then it isn't safe to overtake.
"I'd urge drivers to use their front fog lamps if the visibility is less than 100 yards and the rear fog lamps if they can't see the car behind.
