There have been a number of reported housebreakings in the Scottish Borders this week, in the Heriot, Stow and Lauder areas.
This type of crime is often committed during the day when residents are away from their properties.
Please report any suspicious activity in your area to Police immediately by phoning 101 or 999 in an emergency. Try and note details of any vehicles involved (make colour, registration number etc.) and descriptions of suspects.
Ensure that your house doors and windows are locked and do not leave vehicle keys near to your front door.
Try not to leave high value items such as laptops, tablets, cameras etc. on open display.
Always lock your vehicles, even if only leaving them for a short time and never leave keys in the vehicle.
