WALK: The Trimontium Roman/Mediaeval Walk.

A five-mile guided walk from the Roman Heritage Centre in Melrose to Newstead Masons’ Village via the Prior’s Walk commenting on the sights. Enjoy the wonderful view from Leaderfoot Viaduct and see traces of the roman fort, its annexes and modest amphitheatre.
Take tea in the village before returning to Melrose by a choice of routes.
Wear sensible shoes.
